I graduated from Garland Citizens Police Academy Class #22 and have been part of the alumni since. Although I have helped the alumni in different activities before I took the classes. With my ex wife being a graduate of class 16 and my two step kids went to class 17. and have been part of the alumni ever since.

 

Some of the activities that I have helped out with during my time with the alumni include. Officer cookouts, Guns and Hoses boxing tournament, Motor Cops for kids, Drive and Shoot, Swat training, Dwi training, Officer Awards dinner, State Convention, Christmas on the Square and Tree lighting ceremony, Star Spangled 4th. and different fund raisers.

 

Although this is my first year to serve on the board of directors. I am not new to being a board member for I have served on the board of directors in different youth sports for going on 18 years now. I have also Coached, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, and Football going on 29 seasons now.

I as a coach have had a lot of success in coaching winning Four City Championship. But what I enjoy the most out of all of that is working with the kids and seeing the excitement on their faces when they do something good. That there makes it all worth it.

 That's why I am excited in serving on the board of directors for GCPAAA and bringing some of that joy with me in the things that I do to make this a good and exciting year.

 

I moved to Garland Texas in 1986 from Garden City Kansas and have enjoyed my time here ever since. I have two Kids that are married my daughter Kristal and Phillip Parker and son Brannon and Stephanie Tucker. They both have 2 kids each so that gives me 4 wonderful Grandkids.
