John is a graduate of GCPA Class #33 and, since then, a member of the Alumni Association.   He has lived in Garland since 1972.

He retired after 41 years in the computer technology industry with the last 11 years in Information Security and Privacy.  He has been a guest lecturer on the subjects of information security and privacy and business continuity/disaster recovery planning in the Mays Business School Graduate Program at Texas A & M University.

He has twelve years of experience on the board of directors of another non-profit organization including two years as president of the board.  He has served on the City of Garland Housing Standard Board, is Crime Watch coordinator for his neighborhood and volunteers at the Garland Police Department performing fingerprinting.

His hobbies include golf, restoring antique clocks, his dogs and spending time with his grand daughter.
