I graduated from Citizens Police Academy Class #28 in the fall of 2006. This is my first year serving on the Board of Directors.  I truly enjoy working with the Alumni and the Police Department.  Some events that I have participated in are the Officer Cookouts, Christmas on the Square, Motor Cops for Kids, Star Spangled Fourth, fundraising events, sobriety testing, helping the Officers set up the driving course for Drive & Shoot events, and last but not least, SWAT training. Outside of GCPAAA, I have volunteered in the Administration and Quartermaster Department. I am also a member of the Garland Citizen’s Fire Academy and the Garland C.E.R.T program.

As time permits, I enjoy reading a great book, or on occasion, make a quilt. I enjoy spending every moment I can get with my husband, especially hunting, camping, and scuba diving. I also enjoy working as a registered dental assistant specializing in orthodontics in the Rowlett and Farmersville areas.

A resident of Garland since 1999, I am honored and blessed to have this opportunity to support the Officers and the department. As a new board member, it will be exciting to learn more about the GCPAAA and the Police Department. I am looking forward to a very eventful and fulfilling year and I am so proud to be a part of it.
